5 chapters so far and I'm loving it - an easy 9/10 going by what's available at this time. Ide knows how to set up a proper hook with a strong first chapter, brought to life by Fujii's spectacular art, excellent in both fidelity and dynamism. This is really a rare combo of a superb storyteller and a highly skilled artist working together. Even if you're not into the whole fluffy pet slice of life fantasy adventure thing, it's so well executed that it's worth the read.

The author has the uncommon skill of succintly building the background for characters we only see briefly, setting them up brilliantly to serve the greater mythos of the protagonists by actually making everyone feel alive with believable and enrapturing motivations and rapport. There's a blend of awesome, serious action and the ridiculous premise of fluffy demon lord dog smitten by his lovely granddaughter that works well. On top of that, it occasionally hits you with sheer comedy that comes out of nowhere. I laughed my ass off at the end of chapter 5, again a perfect example of the setup and the subversion of expectations. And oh yeah, did I mention the chicks are hot as hell? Plenty to like and enjoy here, looking forward to more.
