Thanks for the translation.
Well, having kids and living as a couple bring some tough times however you try to plan it, so I believe you should do as you feel the most comfortable with : plan everything and organize your life as much as possible if you feel more secured this way, or go with the flow if planning makes you anxious. There's not a single way to succeed in our personal life, and there's a better chance of doing so if you don't choose a path that makes you force your nature all the time. Some concessions are necessary, of course, I just speak of a general policy.

I mean, does she have a right to complain he's not ready to get married when she forced him to keep their relationship a secret for no real reason.
It's super normal to have that kind of a fight, when one of the couple start to think a little more about the future they get mad when you are not in the same wavelength, even if there's hipocrisy there hahaha 😅😅. Chapter was way too real, including the family problem and giving the work/task/event to the worker.

She has trouble with her spending habits?

At least she's physically healthy. Mentally, well, reasonable, but not quite tip-top.

Him acting so carefree doesn't mean he doesn't have a plan for the future. Though he's probably got a different perspective. And in particular, one gender difference is that men tend to show emotions less, which means it's harder to see if something troubles them. As such, also deal with panic in a different way. Sometimes, but not always. There's no "always" in behaviour.

A man doesn't need to think about that stuff? What decade are you living in?

If he returns the question and you don't answer it, I don't think you can complain about him dodging the question.

It's not that she's been hearing nothing but that, but that she's been focused on nothing but that.

Seems like she's been looking into maternal leave, not parental leave.

Most people feel unprepared for life when things change. Especially when getting children, but also what leads up to that life.

People always want to tell you what to do, but yes, especially if they're older than you.

Yeah, knowing you're not the only one feeling like that makes it easier to take it on.

Absolutely the right call. Children are more important than work.

29 still feels a bit too soon. I would say wait till 35 or 38 to start thinking about having a family
In this day and age, financially and career-wise, 100%. It's always better to be over prepared before you have a kid.

That being said, biology is a thing, and it doesn't discriminate, so people do have a point. From what I hear from my peers, early 30s seems to be the sweet spot nowadays, especially for women. It's also why people freeze their eggs, although the process still is expensive and painful with our current technology.

Also while I was typesetting this chapter I felt so called out cause I've been spending the past few months agonizing over my financial plans and GOD, it's so stressful. I'm financially stable for someone in their mid 20s, but I don't think I'll ever be affluent enough to give my potential future kid the future I'd want them to have, and it hurts my heart.

child in your 30s is already a health risk
the real problem with our "society" is that productivity went up, but remuneration went down
so people have to save for longer to have children now

they have 2 incomes, it should have been a non-issue
but 0 interest rate policy, fiatmoney, etc...

Even if you dont care about health and society, having a kid after 30's seems so tiring. You already have a proper life-work balance at that age and adding a chaos into that doesnt fit right for me

"This is about both of us, so shouldn't this concern both of us!?"

YES! SO TALK TO HIM! This is the first time you have ever brought up future plans with him. Y'all have been dating for God knows how long now, and this is the first you've ever mentioned it. Hell I bet he's wanted to marry and have kids for a while now but never brought it up because he didn't want to feel like he was pressuring you. Heck, he probably returned the question you asked him back at you to confirm if he had the go ahead or not so he doesn't piss you off.

At the end of the day what have we learned? Communication is really important, people.

Thanks for the chapter. It felt close to home, thank goodness the last part seemed to relieve some of her stress.

This manga has proven itself many times already to be the proverbial unicorn, because people here talk and comunicate with each other. So, have a little faith, it will be most likely resolved in the next chapter(s).
