it's the whole reason this manga started. she left her work for days before she resigned. overthinking everydays. she clearly thought her only reason to be living is her ties to her deceased little brother. all of her friends in this chapter doesn't know what she is doing in all these years and surprised to how her mature side changed. just a little more suffering, she would disappear for good you know.
whatever happened next chapter can't change what she already did in past chapter. if she didn't reach the others first, nobody would know she need help

You said those school colleges didn't supported her and that's what I disagree.
They're elementary school students, they don't have age to sit and talk with her and they probably didn't stayed together in school for much longer.
