Look at the desk on the final page, you can see his bag that he tried to leave with alongside a bunch of products he tried to steal. He's not angry about the cigarette but that he tried to steal what I think is beer, some sort of bagged food, food stored like raw meat, and various other items. He's probably still miffed about the whole wrecking of his story, but that's no reason for him to let go of a regular thief who shows no signs of regret, apologizing, and actively tries to blame others for his bag full of stolen goods.
