That confession scene would've been an instant misunderstanding in other romcoms with the FL somehow accidentally seeing it. Great that it was avoided here, although the most likely reason is that this is ending next chapter. Haruki with the save again, Touma owes his friends so much. At least now Touma knows he has to step up and stop coasting in this relationship.
