I actually thought for half a second that Nozaki would turn the corner, at least a bit.
But I'm gonna go ahead and guess that any pretense of friendship, ulterior motive-driven or otherwise, is fully done now between her and Kuritani/

Hopefully Nozaki just ignores her, since she didn't go through with the school transfer, and doesn't turn to (more) bullying and harassment/worse. Nozaki's got stuff she needs to work through, but. Let Kuritani sink or swim on her own, and focus on the self for a bit, type stuff. Get over her broken heart in some way that's as constructive as can be.
Interesting tidbit - I don't recall seeing them together before, but Nakanishi, who confessed to Kaede in ch.4, is the one with Nozaki as she leaves her confrontation with Kuritani.
Wonder if that signals anything for the future.

That said - the woman at the end of the chapter isn't a 1:1 in appearance with the "Katou-Sensei" back at the end of chapter 5; both have a hair-clip and long light-colored hair, but ch.5's depiction has parts of her hair loose and not bound by the clip, whereas in this chapter it's all in the clip. Not fully indicative, but I wonder if that's who she is, coming onto the student here.

(Thought they were both faculty, at first, because I misidentified the male uniforms of that high school from an earlier chapter, and since the "student & teacher" bit was done with Kaede herself, as the "first case" when there were rumors about her dating that one male teacher, and then one of her students gives her a love note. Repeating that motif again this quickly doesn't feel like the case, at least for me.)
Guess we'll see.

But I'm really curious what Kaede was going to say before Nami interrupted her with that kiss. And, how exactly they wound up together. She details it super vaguely when talking with Nozaki the first time around, but it's not really explanatory, at least in terms of the details that matter.
I look forward to getting the full story on her deal eventually.

Thanks for the TL as always. Rather enjoy the episodic, bounce-around nature of this series with lots of stories among a loosely-interconnected cast.

I really need more context on the initial rejection between the main couple, just cant get fully on board yet. Miyamoto rejecting Kaede initially, telling her that if their relationship becomes known shes breaking up with her, it just feels toxic and without further context im really struggling to like Miyamoto at all.

I think that might be the intention, to have you doubt and want to see all the context that possibly gets revealed as the chapters go

That's my read. We're being fed their history piecemeal as the other stories all progress, and Kaede can apply bits and pieces of her experiences to whatever scenario is currently underway.

But it seems interesting that Nami was apparently quite popular when they were in school, whereas Kaede--at least visually, in those flashbacks--seems much more the "quiet background kouhai", and yet they were friends enough that Kaede stressed over hiding her feelings from Nami up until she confessed.
And then she gets rejected, avoids Nami, and now Nami is seemingly the possessive, clingy one who's using soft threats in their present-day relationship?

Seems like a lot must've happened, but I'm guessing we're not getting the entire picture until their story becomes the focus of the series, perhaps as a dedicated finale.

This manga really is dickhead central bro. Learning love is especially hard when everyone is a fucking narcissist.

the GL tag is there because the "primary" characters are gay.

But they're the lens characters of the story wherein all the other characters and relationship arcs orbit around them, and Kaede specifically factors into mediating, resolving, or otherwise interacting with the characters and their interpersonal stuff (Nami to a lesser degree, based on what we saw this chapter with Nozaki).
Kaede and Nami will likely have their relationship and personal stories fleshed out more and more as the series goes on, but they're not going to be the focus, just the through-line.

Hope this helps explain things.
