The chapter referenced with golden haired Ananta is back when Maruna and Rao were together. There's a discussion between Ananta, Sagara, and Asura about the end of fiendish magic due to 'accidents' and Ananta going berserk and supposedly having no memories while in sura form. It's implied he takes sura form and his hair becomes golden during that transformation.
Which would mean this Ananta is closer to that state (even in a human shape) than his old normal form.
