Thicc =/= Fat, though Fat can be Thicc based on body proportionality. It's distinguished from the preferences of Architects (iykyk.... ), but can run parallel at times.
The fact that this is so commonly misunderstood despite the NUMEROUS IRL examples out there eludes me, but I guess the Cocaine Chic era did do irreparable damage to a lot of people....
