wasting a whole chapter crying about a cat that you should've gotten over years ago lol. not to mention pretending it would give a shit about whoever's home at which point. it's not a dog, they're fine on their own most of the time.
I'm always astounded at the confidence some people have to share their dumb takes or straight up misinformation online.

Is it real ignorance or just rage bait? Who knows... :haa:

......So I'm not complaining, these fluffy chapters showing the two leads interacting and being increasingly comfortable with one another is great...

....But even setting aside the romantic developments, it feels like the plot of both of them wanting to change and grow is kinda just... being completely ignored?
In all fairness they kinda already did grow and change. She isnt as prickly and hard to talk to as before and he is far more outgoing and reliable. They're both significantly more socially adept now.

What's left is basically them learning romance and that their feelings for the other aren't exactly "normal " for pain ol friends

It's never been more over. Despite what they say, women don't actually want to see their boyfriend/husband be emotional. Nothing dries them out quicker
Considering she didn't get put off and immediatly distance herself means she is legit. She will be good and loyal.

Grandmas used to teach the young girls to imagine the boy they like looking pathetic and weak, if they cant love him at that point then they dont truly love him. Teaching the younger generation to be the comfortable soft place their man can let his guard down and he will them move heaven and earth for her.
Thats how true long lasting unbreakable bonds were taught. Now girlbosses cheer at them humiliating their man and get the ick for any pathetic mundane reason like "he takes really small effeminate bites of his food"

Rizz-101, Be tough, try and maintain that air of masculinity as much as possible, always offer to pay. But every once in a while, when you are alone together, show them your vulnerable side, a tear or two works wonders, particularly if pets are involved, because that shows your potential for looking after a family. The motherly instinct in all women will kick in and they will naturally want to get closer too you.
This has been a Rizz-101 snippet.
With 90% of modern women they will just het the ick at that and mentally sign off on the relationship, assuming you got that far.
Modern dating is a hellscape

He said his cat passed away when he was in grade 9, and now he's in grade 10 (I think? Or just started grade 11?), so it's been less than 2 years since it happened.

of course, you'll randomly cry 2-3 years later when calmly talking about this several times before. if he had been hung up on this for years, then maybe. but that much would've been extreme as well.
