Why does he get so many bitches? And why does he have no personality? It's the same answer for both.

This is a Manga created to appeal to young [Japanese] males as a self-insert, wish-fulfillment fantasy. Gotta have as many bitches as possible for the wish-fulfillment. Also can't have the main character be too outstanding because then the reader can't self-insert.

In my personal opinion, the only way to redeem this mess is if Medaka sticks to his original statement of becoming a priest and forgoing all women. Remember how he hasn't said a word of that in so many chapters?

i swear though, we were just like he is a "monk in training" in the title and in chapter 1 briefly and nothing else
even my flytrap plant has more character development than the "monk in training" mc and the only reason i still haven't dropped it is cause i want to see mc is actually "monk in training" family

For the most part we've enjoyed working on this series, with Mona realizing her feelings being the peak. However the series has really fallen a lot, it saddens us, me and probably a lot of you.The recent developments are just mind jarring. Just look at this chapter... Triple date shenanigans? F*** off.

That's such a missed opportunity from where I sit. I mean, it could have been his entire world, where we have the girls basically throwing himself at him and he could just oblivious to it and or try to become more "devout" by trying to ignore it. But then slowly have him become more open to the girls "advances".

If you want something kind of sort of similar, check out Temple. There, the main character is not some dense idiot. He is self-aware and self-loathing and actively devotes himself to becoming an ordained Buddhist monk despite his desires for women. It actually goes into depth about the training.

Definitely not quite the same vibes as this series, but kind of enjoyable.
