It's a common like misogynist thing iirc, esp for old fashioned patriarchal societies "what do you mean that the child I contributed DNA to doesn't look EXACTLY LIKE ME, the HEAD of the family!? I'm supposed to be the most important factor!!" Kinda style.

....unfortunately have seen it in folks stories irl where they get treated wrong for not looking like their dad despite their mum being RIGHT THERE who they look like.🙃 Absolutely maddening.
