At least the epilogue established there was romance although it didn't really feel like there was any. Aw man the author really got discouraged from reading people's opinion on this and had to end things early. Very sad to read that but I do know that they have a new series that came out this month so only 1 chapter is out as far as I can tell so hopefully someone will pick that up. This is a bit sad. This wasn't an amazing manga or anything (+ I'm not a fan of ecchi comedy stuff) but it was pretty funny which puts it above a lot of other shit. Weird that it apparently sold so badly and got so much criticism that the author decided to cancel it themselves.

Yeah so we did get the romance in the epilogue, but I do feel like it would have been better if we had gotten just a few more scenes between them to establish the romance. We would have probably gotten them if the author hadn't been discouraged by the reviews.

More entertaining than most attempts at comedy manga for me atleast, crazy to hear they rushed that ending themselves without any outside influence...thats pretty bad. Also having no romance and then adding a "hey there was romance eventually..you just didnt get to see any of it!" isnt romance lmao.

I'd say his art has greatly improved with Dark Circles, so i feel like we're headed in the right direction.

Seems like author-man was getting cooked alive in the comments over in JP and decided to scrap it himself and head to the mountains, which I get, jumping from twitter manga to actual serialization requires some change

Interesting that people didn't have higher opinions of this, I thought the comedy was pretty great compared to many other comedy mangas out there (maybe it just hits harder for western sensibilities rather than eastern ones). It's also interesting that he decided to end it the way he did when he felt it was lacking; why would he think time skipping past the amped up fight, and not acknowledging the romance that was being built up, would be a good decision?

That all said, I didn't think the ending was too bad for a rushed one, it was goofy, but in tone for what this work was (though they could have joked more about how awesome the fight was that they skipped to make the humour of it hit harder). It ended on a good note and basically ended all the plot threads in one go, though admittedly through a silly time skip...
Though I can't help but see most endings in a favourable light compared to "to be continued (never)" endings, and the horror story that was "Giri-Giri Saegiru Katagirisan" - which I still mourn.

Anyway, I quite enjoyed this, Thank you translator, I'm keen to give the author's next work a go,

Anyways, pretty sad that this got axed hard, I really like the original series before it was serialized. And even the initial chapters of this were good before it turned into some weird action manga. What a weird direction to go with..

It was OK at best. I mean I read a lot of manga and many of them got axed fir various reasons. Some people think it's the ecchi that push people off but I don't think that's the case here. I think the author indecisiveness on the plot that doom this manga.
