I'm not squeamish when it comes to age gap romances and relationships like that, but in this particular case it left an unpleasant aftertaste. Can't quite put my finger on it as to why. I think the novel bit is a big reason why... And it didn't feel like Masaki's choice was a genuine adult decision made independently with his own feelings. Felt more like grooming in action although it wasn't that, idk.

I get that this is supposed to be "romantic" and all, but I would feel better about this age gap/incest conflict to be resolved after Masaki grows up some more, gain some life experience etc. Definitely brushed under the rug when this could've been more fulfilling with more exploration and character growth
