Yeah, you're not going to get anywhere by saying Maomao is acting outside her place. She has special privileges. If you want to complain, go to the Emperor.

In the LN, it’s this chapter too.
In this chapter, the GX version had several small differences compared to the BG version and the LN. The BG version stayed closer to the LN. However, the detail I missed the most was the scene where the sick girl’s friend calls Maomao to ask about what happened to her. While in the GX version, the previous chapter had an extra scene with this friend, in this chapter, that scene was completely cut.
I think, to make it different from the BG version, the GX artist created an additional scene with Consort Lihua/Rifa, where she’s shown asking Jinshi/Renshi about the sick girl and then deciding to cover the medical treatment costs herself. But I guess the GX artist felt it would be redundant for Maomao to explain things to the sick girl’s friend, so they created that extra scene with the friend in the previous chapter and removed her conversation with Maomao in this one.
In my opinion, the BG and LN versions felt more “beautiful” with the friend talking to Maomao.
