unpopular opinion about loumen (who I love) but the fact that Maomao is canonically malnourished and underfed in the early chapters is all because Loumen is shit with finance really annoys me.

They dont get enough food and money NOT bc he isnt capable of earning but because he just doesnt care much about money (mentioned that he usually doesnt charge for medicines and consultations or that he gives away medicines/food for free from time to time). I would have understood if he has a hard time looking for work bc he is crippled but no. A child grew up malnourished bc he just doesnt know or care about earning a proper living.

That's not unlikely but considering the doctor writing them was severely punished for reason concerning medical practice, the "Why" probably never taught to anyone (or at least anyone with enough influence), and the successor never re-establish the warning as facts anymore, that it's just something forgotten by time.

No, it's because they were raped as children and confined to their abuser's home Just In Case he wanted access to them again. They could not be free of him, even if he never came for them again. And they never will be, even after his death.

While I don't know the specifics of it, there was some sort of conflict with the people who worked on the chapters and the group they worked under. This conflict has caused the workers to leave said group, and in order to get their spirits up, they're working on further chapters. This should mean that they'll eventually go back to the other chapters, but when that will occur is only known to them.
