These chapters were fun to read.
I forget how much I've read of this story, but aside from once or twice, in having trouble remembering if Mao Mao gives any attention it thought to her mother. Might be for the best, but she did feel like an under used character.
Also, I'm sure the fox already has some idea about her missing. He knows everything. Otherwise, I don't think he'd care about the guns.
