I really dislike stories that use "because...reasons..." to make a square peg fit in a round hole... I mean, take the kids to Australia for crying out loud. You leave her alone while you are working in Japan, what really difference does it male leaving her at home while working in Australia???? Also, why do so many Japanese people end up working overseas in these stories??? Talk about an overused trope...
This is just another wish fulfilment story for nerds that didn't get a high school girlfriend when in high school themselves. I'm not seeing a single original idea here. I'll read what is here then move on in search of something with a bit of substance and originality...
