Yeah, my thoughts are: "so this girl is insane enough to think that the girl who ran straight out into the street out of nowhere, without looking first, would have been alive if instead of it being a sign, it was a green light?" and "besides, I somehow doubt that street ever got a light in that place where the accident took place, anyway".

We also never got to learn of why the eye was hurt.
