I don't think it's that the translation is bad but it lacks any kind of localisation so it just feels weird, in terms of the meaning of the words they are roughly the same as spinning donuts version. My gripes with bad translations almost always comes down to bad localisation, a lack of proofreading, and/or just plugging things into a machine and using the translation without doing anything to it.

localisation means replacing the original content with something else that would better convey the original intent to the target audience than a direct translation would (assuming it's done reasonably - so jelly donuts not withstanding), it's a translation on the cultural level.
this isn't localisation though, it's just basic proofreading - the direct translation doesn’t make sense on a semantic level, and in this case it just makes it sound like she's talking to herself unprompted as opposed to replying to the MC. even just putting quotation marks around the text of the first speech bubble, kuga tsuniya-style, would've been enough.
