Well there are a lot of younger readers these days but I wonder the age of the author, i imagine similar to Kameyama, it’d be ironic if they were closer to Hikaru’s age/just became a young adult/debuted as mangaka and some biases about older things coming out from them lol

That’s a lot of manuscripts I hope it doesn’t come outta his own o/can be written off as a business expense if not like temp from the library

I also like that this hasn't devolved into Kameyama falling in love with Nanami, or some s888 like that =0\. He looks at her and finds her beautiful, or crafty, or some other specific detail that interests him, but isn't some kind of horndog that looks at her in a sexualized way, like he's never seen a woman before(even though Nanami is a guy, and even if he was a girl, would be underage).

I wouldn't mind some chapters where the script is flipped, and Nanami notices something about Kame's appearance, personality, or other gentlemanly-adult features that he finds interesting =03.

That would be funny, but maybe as an omake? I think overall it works best when Nanami is being himself and cluelessly inspiring Kameyama all the time.

I remembered playing on a console that says Sega on it. But somehow, the game I remembered turned out to be nes games after I looked it up (Metal Mech: Man and Machine is one example).

I think my console was a knock off lol.
I also remembered sharing the cartridges with a friend whose console looks like a PSX, but has the cartridge slot under the lid.

I was confused why he was still standing after saying "sit down". It wasn't until I saw @EchoGirl comment I realized he was only putting the bags down.

I have seen "sit" used that way. But I think it's more common to see "put things down".

i... have never seen a famicon cartridge... all i know are 3/ds and switch game cards. im young. hm :/

now as for my thoughts on the new volume covers:
3 has tamagotchi, angel blue, and and a disposable camera. im not into tamagotchi, but last month the kid of a family friend showed me one of her old beach towels printed with an illustration of the tv show version of the characters and damn did i want it. also the collabs with other media are cute, especially sanrio. i don't feel much about angel blue either because i like its sister brand from narumiya, mezzo piano, more. for some reason it feels dissapointing that for the fashion part, mezzo piano is more simple these days, and they don't seem to make clothes with the eye-popping illustrations anymore. its the same or being defunct for the rest of the narumiya brands' fashion parts, really, and it looks like you can only get the clothes secondhand.
the only two i recognize from 4 are the smartphone stickers of piske and usagi and a teenage student couple riding on a bike. they're both by the illustrator kanahei. try guess which is the old artstyle and which one is the new, but thats probably not too hard. the bike couple illustration in particular is so iconic that ive seen it posted to japanese heisei retro aesthetic accounts multiple times. now that i look closely, i can kinda see the sticker designs have been copied and pasted onto the cover with permission, with "(c) kanahei" on the bike couple one.
