On one level, yes. But I do think there's a functional difference between celebrities and non-celebrities. They have to worry about tabloid gossip, getting negative public opinion, etc. For either of them it could lead to a loss of work/aka cancellation. "Sorry the company doesn't want extra heat because you're seen as harassing a celebrity," for example. Or "Sales are down because the rapid psycho fans are disappointed they can't date you in the heads."

This is awful, of course. It's a weird consequence of the ultra-media-consumerist society we find ourselves in where people are seen as commodified products, and commodity consumption is the new religion.

As someone who once had a whole idol group living on the same apartment floor, His reaction is quite normal. considering that she is an idol type young actress who is getting more popular, the fact the he doesnt completely stop interacting with her is kinda amazing in its own way. Most people just dont understand the pressure(?) of living with or near celebrities, its crazy i tell you, you start overthinking stuff like how would you look from their perspective, what if their fans see you interacting with them etc. etc. Added to the fact that their relationship quite close pre face reveal. I was a nervous trainwreck the 1st time i know about them living on the same floor, and im wasnt even interested in idols & they’re not even that popular yet (they were just formed for like 2 months i think) i need like 3 weeks to be able to talk to them normaly lmao
