Another one of her conditions should have been her being allowed to have her own lovers despite being married to him X'DDD So that when she has a son, it doesn't need to be that King's son Or maybe she can adopt a child and call him her son? So this was a bit confusing to read. I felt like early on in the chapter I couldnt tell who was speaking. I eventually figured it out also is the art always this inconsistent ? Is that just me. Oh well nice job ty for upload.

If her goal is to just survive then why insist that her child must be emperor? That'd just create more conflict with the concubine since the concubine and the emperor to some extend would definitely try to remove her and her son if she has one.

I feel like it's just a bad way for the author to move the plot, like there's no reason for her to do give that condition. She didn't even want to become empress in the first place.

He needs the first child to be his so he has an heir from the Empress. A concubine child usually cannot be heir. This situation sucks all around but especially for the women. I know the concubine is the villain in this story, but really it's the Emperor that gets to have his cake and eat it both ways while the women get the short end of the stick. Who the heck likes sharing their lover/husband??

I honestly hope this asshole of an emperor doesn't have a redemption arc, I much like the idea of MC stepping in those two, I like even better the idea of the Emperor falling for MC, and her crushing him down into pieces, like he did with her sister.

Thank you for the update! Personally I think she even considered having a child (and thereby an heir) with the emperor is because, perhaps for reasons other than having someone to love, being the heir's mother helps her have some security for herself given that she does not hold the emperor's affection. An unloved queen is politically vulnerable. She needs to solidify her position as empress (to prevent her family's deaths) because atm it seems the emperor has no plans on leaving the mistress and the horrid woman actually wants her position
