If I had a nickle for every time a Gender Bender Isekai with Last Boss in the title had a twist where it turned out that the Isekai'd person ended up being the original soul of the body they were transported to in a strange way, I'd have two nickles.Hmm just a random thought, what if the daughter reincarnated as Avalon the demon king (or Akari's soul was used to create Avalon) and went back to her old body when reincarnated again?
I know which manga you are exactly talking about, it's Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta! if I recall. If I had a nickle for every time a Gender Bender Isekai with Last Boss in the title had a twist where it turned out that the Isekai'd person ended up being the original soul of the body they were transported to in a strange way, I'd have two nickles.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
That sounds like a banger manga that would be dropped after 6 chaptersmom..
Also mom has adpoted a demon king.
That's because 90% of hijack isekai stories just shoe-horn in isekai for self-insertion purposes, especially when the MC basically has no backstory whatsoever previous to being isekai'd (besides that they were japanese), so they don't need to even bother to aknownoledge it. That way, the main target demographic (again, japanese teenagers) can easily self-insert into the story. Here his backstory is actually important to the narrative, to the point that there has been a few flashbacks now, you can tell the author actually wants to make a good story.Damn, it's rare for these body hijacking isekai stories to acknowledge that the original person is dead and gone.
