I know it's fiction, but you don't 'burn' or 'ignite'(not the fusion kind) hydrogen on a gas planet, unless somehow its atmosphere happens to have a large percentage of oxygen, and definitely not its core, especially if the other large part of the mixture is helium(which for most purposes is completely inert)...
