That is untrue, it doesn't matter how it's obtained. It just can't be the same one they have already absorbed.

Then he can just have them capture monsters, cut off their arms and legs and bring them to him.

I don't remember if this was a plot point or not, but he has his emotions dampened or tampered with to a degree by the beast magic, right? He felt nothing when killing someone, and the biggest show of emotion he had was when Set was teleported. Other than that he's been fairly 😐. Does he still feel love? Is the harem a farce?
