The fights scenes where Rei is involved are totally meaningless waste of pages. He just walks or flies past enemies and they all die. Even Steven Seagal writes better fight scenes for himself, in his own movies, despite still making himself invincible, just like Rei. This series should just drop fights more or less entirely and do other stuff, which is depicted much better.

Second princess seems reasonable. Screw all that political maneuvering. But her depiction doesn't exactly scream "most beautiful princess." She looks quite a lot like the third prince, if anything.

They spend a lot of time explaining a plan that was rather obvious to begin with, although they did add the bit about the heir conflict.

Rei, Set, and Elena are an army of their own.

Probably want to show them taking out the enemy so it doesn't come as a surprise that their forces are weakened. It's mostly about poor writing on a larger level, since while it might be a justification in itself, the fact that it's needed in the first place indicates that the entire plot needs restructuring.

Hmm, a dome of earth over this regiment of the enemy army. Looks like they just made a big oven to me, and kindly set themselves inside. They were just complaining about the fire magic Rei had been using too. He's overpowered enough, they don't have to make it easier.
