I was purchasing this from Amazon JP as it released and it's my favourite slice of life series, it never fails to make me laugh. However my Japanese isn't that good so I was only able to get an understanding of what was happening in each chapter without a perfect understanding of all the dialogue... so I always hoped someone would provide a full translation. I'm happy that you saw my comment, and replied so fast! Thank you! Ichijou is one of my favourite characters of all time which is why I was so happy to see this spinoff and especially elaborating on his life and character outside of the casino and his relationship with Murakami.

THANK YOU for completing translation on Ichijou. This manga is one of my all time favourites and brings so much comfort and laughter and even (joyful) tears to me. I feel a lot of emotion towards this manga and I’m really attached to it.

I have the physical copies but with my limited Japanese they were missing the full charm you were able to bring out with your translations. Thank you so much. I have read this over 10 times using your translations.

If you could ever compile this into a complete downloadable version (or if someone else does) I’d be so happy to be able to read it on the go when I have no internet access.

P.S. I had the chance to attend the Kaiji exhibit in Japan and there was quite a bit of Life in Tokyo Ichijou there!
