There is some sort of comment incentive(?) for the forum in the planned list, once the forum's reworked maybe. Probably just for the forum and not in the comment sections of chapters.

Instead of a strict like/dislike system, I would like discord style reacts because those tend to encapsulate a wide array of potential responses.

You could even insert ways to organize comments like "most reacted/least reacted."

I'd like replies to be added, too, just for the sake of organizing threads more efficiently

In Discord people could "react" to a message with emojis, and a count of each would be displayed. In the case of MangaDex it might just be a limited subset of emojis

I agree with @blackyawgdom in that comment likes would be a bad idea. It also leads to people forming an opinion on someone else's comment based on how many likes that comment has.
