Hm, big moment
A moment that's been a long time coming although there's not much build specifically too it
By that I mean while yinlin has clearly been in love with rouxi for awhile her coming to that realization here feels rather sudden to me
Because she just starts considering it at the tail end of this very chapter and then accepts it, there's no bridge between her realization and her denial of it
I'm not sure I articulated it quite right so to keep going on, yinlins clearly been in love with rouxi for a good few chapters now the issue is the lack of a bridge from her feelings, she goes to "no that cant be possible, she just feels weird"
To suddenly really thinking about it halfway through a chapter and realizin she truly does love rouxi and it's like...
What pushed her to really think about it was just rouxi not being herself which is something I suppose yet it's also result of only this and the last chapter
The story has a good bit of padding so suppose yinlin realizing her feelings and labeling them came kinda fast for the pacing established and maybe that's why it feels weird for me
It may have helped to show a few chapters of yinlin actually trying to go through her feelings (although I don't know what that would look like) rather than constant dismissal and making them make some sort of sense and then piece together what her symptoms point towards cause this is a big moment it just doesn't feel like there's much that pushes her there outside of something sudden
Whats supposed to be a big moment feels kinda flat for me, eh
...
Wait How fast did rouxi fall asleep? Damn
If that makes sense kudos to you I guess, I'm just some bum
Suppose let's see where yinlin goes form here...
