ok, little help times 2 if you don't mind.
First one is just some suggestions for stories, isekai or not is not important, where the guild and even people of the city are more a part of the story then the nobles. Not saying nobles can't be involved just prefer they not be the main portion. For example something like Goblin Slayer (not necessarily atmosphere) but the idea of working out of a guild, interactions with other guild members, adventurers and the common people. Although I prefer something a little lighter in nature.
Second one is just one of those, can remember the face but not the name type situations and it's driving me crazy. In this case a scene popped into my head and for the life of me can't remember from where or the story. An isekai, main opc has a guide? / dictionary? as part of his status screen that provides info and answers some questions. The scene: he is in a guild, some adventurers come running in dragging a wounded buddy, they can't stop the bleeding, heal doesn't work. Doctor and pharma are out of town. OPC has his guide analyze the guy and it is determined it is because of a powerful poison. A high level spell is needed to fix it and he can do it but he doesn't have enough spell points and makes a contract or something with 3 or so people to borrow points. He saves the guy the guy gets up says thanks and then runs back to the dungeon. A guild member apologizes, says he is my (step)brother and he is an idiot he should have stayed and thanked you correctly. Can't remember the story that is from and it is driving me crazy. Maybe my brain buried it deep in the back of my mind trying to protect me from a story that is so bad it would cause mental damage.
