While I (personally) understand fearing a parent- to this extent?? In this situation??
Wouldn't MC at this point have heard this same boastful, fearmongering bullshit so many times that she should instead get angry. Like why is MC letting this bully walk all over her again and again, showing fear?
Stop. Woman what?
We'v seen her act this way for chapter after chapter, with no growth or any change in how she acts. This man just walks in to tell her scary shit and she collapses everytime.
Anyone else doing it gets her to react, gets her angry, yet here we are again.
This is how many times now?
I understand making sure the reader undestands MC fears her father. I do. But this is getting so repetitive it almost seems like tragedy p*rn now.
The MC has been shown to be a strong, capable woman. But every time we see the dad, she becomes a weeping willow, unable to do anything but collapse to the ground and cry. (I suggest we nickname the dad Fainting Couch)
That isn't realistic. Not after all this time and what she's been through.

I know for a fact, that the writer is doing this so that when she DOES stand up to him, its supposed to be this amazing moment. Except its been ruined by the setup being WAY TOO LONG.
Instead of coming off as a "strong woman who stood up to a bully" she comes off as a contradiction instead.
Bad character writing. 3/5 Do better next time.
