Its strange but the machine translation didn't use that word. I did as my choice because that's what it is.

I see why translators keep dropping this manga. The story was already trashy, but now it's way worse than at the start.

why the fuck did we get a full manga as a flashback just before the ending?

@boag there are 24 chapters remaining and roughly 17 pages per chapter. I recall the flash back has another 4 chapters before we return to present day. You ask why and to me the answer is obvious, the author is trying to explain that this stigma is genetic and has deeply impacted the lives of others surrounding the MC and his father both who have this birth mark. From tbe scars on the dad's back it seems evident that he tried to rid it, only for it to return. A curse it seems. One of the reasons I am translating this story is that I like the back stories and character insights. Despite others opinions about this story having a crap ending, its not really about the ending for me that matters. Its how people cope with suffering and hardship and torment that interests me. There you have it.

@Primecutter1
the entire manga has been showing that abusing the power they had is what brought about the hardship, this flashback just cements it, and from the looks of it the price they both had to pay was the mothers death.

Sweet, new chapter! Thanks for continuing on it, @Primecutter1, I was worried you'd given up after it had been a few months.

So it's interesting to learn that Rin's mom knew about the tattoo that Usuda (Rin's dad) had. This puts a new spin on the flashback a ton of chapters ago where the mom was telling Chizuru "I don't want you to help bathe Rin because he's got a special mark on his butt that I don't want you to see." So now we know that not only was she aware of the tattoo when Rin was a baby, but from even before he was born, and she would have known it was hereditary.

@Jamming10001, thanks for the comment.
Yes it is interesting and I will be releasing the next chapter in about a week because without giving away the nature of the chapter, I've been able to make some good progress on the translation. And boy is this chapter a good one. Apart from translation task, I'm keen to observe and not miss out on the subtle dark humour and irony that has been part of the story. That is something that machine translation engines are still playing catch up on. Therefore I hope that with these chapters they don't lose the colour intended by the mangaka.
It also begs the question why on earth did Rin's Dad given his curse, end up with Reiko? I guess we will find that out and perhaps that will explain the logic behind the ending that so many have shit-canned.

Some of the translations dont make sense. ESPECIALLY the part when Rin's father is instigating Rin's Mom here. like the translation is saying like hes ONLY mentioning Izumiya here talking about how embarrassing he is that he got coffee poured on him and that he's being forced to apologize... then Rin's mom is insulted???

Makes me wonder...Has Rin's father even had anyone question his Birthmark before? Was it only Izumiya who was this annoying to him? since Rin's father is college age I was expecting at least he would be able to get a person like Izumiya off his radar but he's always instigated by him and makes him do reckless things. its like the first time hes' being forced to show off his powers.
