Looking for a Dark Action Manga/Manhwa with a Great Story & Intense Fights

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for an action manga/manhwa with a strong story, intense fights, and well-developed characters. A well-built world is also a big plus. I love dark settings and psychological/horror elements, or just bloody fights in a brutal world. I’d also like a story that keeps me on edge, making me feel "afraid" of what might happen next—kind of like how Yakusoku no Neverland made me feel before they butchered the story.

Some things I don’t want:
❌ Useless comedy
❌ Romance as a main theme
❌ Mecha, harem
❌ Already has an anime (since I’ve likely seen it)

I don’t mind if it has some ecchi elements, but it shouldn’t be the main focus.
Manga/Manhwa I Liked

✔️ Tokyo Ghoul (Favorite)
✔️ Eleceed
✔️ Legend of the Northern Blade
✔️ Vagabond
✔️ Leveiathan and HIVE (Love such apocalyptic worlds)

Also a good Manhwa but not so known: Night of Shadows I like this world.

hmm... dark, serious, action... and no anime,
I guess my pick would be Issak, Rebuild World, and Gunka no Baltzar.
And I'll throw Maou to Yuusha no Tatakai and Yajin Tensei for isekai just incase.

Kagurabachi is also a dark serious action manga, but I see you don't particularly like popular titles.

what else, let's see...
I also liked Groundless and Steel of the Celestial Shadows (licensed),
but they have romance element in it (not the main theme, but the motivation, more like revenge)

Maybe there are some that have an Anime and you haven't read them, and Anime is a less complete version of the story anyway

Thank you very much for the recommedations. Ajin I watched the Anime but I wanted to read the manga too.
It's not that I dislike popular titles, but the problem with Solo Leveling was that the MC felt "bland" and had no emotions. Jujutsu the MC was "dumb" ._. Chainsaw I didn't like such stuff..

I added those to my list. Gantz and Ajin look really good ( I even watched the Anime of Anjin and I loved it).

Rebuild World looks also really good. Really I'm thankfull to you both.

One day I'm also gonna read Berserk.
