A fairly basic concept but a good source of conflict when it happens. You have a "mole", a "false friend" or some other manner of bad guy who's managed to win everyone's trust, except for one major or main character. Maybe that character just has suspicions, maybe they know or saw something. Whatever the case, those the character tries to warn or protect don't believe him and often grow angry over supposed prejudice, jealousy etc.
I can't think of a ton off the top of my head, but I do recall one case where it happened as I'm reading the LN as we speak: Piggy Duke's second big arc has Slowe protecting his former fiance Alicia alongside a pair of knights, one of whom (Sepith Pendragon) he recognizes from his memories of the anime of an alternate timeline as a future traitor who is secretly simply trying to reach a point where he can wreck his kingdom and shame his father in vengeance for their supposedly having betrayed him. He knows that the timeline says Sepith shouldn't turn traitor for some time as he wants to first climb to the highest knightly rank and gain access to the kingdom's princess, but the hate he holds remains and as such he doesn't trust him. To those that don't know the future though it just looks like jealousy for Sepith's talent, looks, and fame and prejudice for his status as the bastard child of a marquess and a peasant woman.
