Why is it so complicated. Are we not passed the gate which is supposed to be complicated to go through ? Suddenly there is a whole city of nowhere.

The amount of info she knows from just scribbles carved in a cave is insane. If I had to guess, the original concept of this manga was on the verge of getting axed and the author had to change directions for the work to survive and now we get a lot of bullsh*t plot like this and this change of genre from seinen, dark, survival manga to just a violent shounen battle manga.
