I'm not sure I have the full read on it, but I'll give it a go.

So the thing that breaks is the boulder shown from chapter 0. When it comes to big boulders the first thing I think of is Sisyphus and the connection is even deepened because in chapter 0 Hime is lugging boxes around and then Rurino comes to help her. Just before the boulder breaks we see Hime reaching for Rurino's (ringed) hand, so I think the boulder breaking is the completion of Hime's "Sisyphean task", that is: she succeeded in breaking Megumi's and Rurino's relationship and is now number 1 in Rurino's heart.
