Part of me wonders if the line about the grandfather's plans is real, in the sense that the plan was to stop the eldest brother from gaining control of the manor

Having a character named "Lulu" at the bottom of the "Hell House" being explored by a "Dan Taylor" and having her not actually be a demon would be a laudable, even bigger twist
