I've already forgotten so much. But isn't earthclear a computer simulation? Why would moving a npc to a human body give the body superhuman powers? And is the simulation running without the extracted NPCs,or are there copies of them still inside? If they return to the simulation, aren't the biological versions of them dying, and a software copy of them will appear in the simulation?

IIRC, it's like in the Matrix film, except for superpowers for all people (humans) who get out of the simulation in here, so there're no copies of those who left the Earth Clear. Only the demons are pieces of code and need Kurusu's magic to be alive outside. And no one did/tried/wished to return until now, so what'd happen wasn't shown.
