I like that they are trying to create a relatively realistic setting instead of turning it into a lady land like in many other all-female manga.

Eye blinks happen between .1 and .4 seconds. Much like how you can always see your nose but your brain just filters it out, the brain kinda makes it up while you're blinking so it seems much faster.
