This manga is too girly. I can tell it's going to be slow and nothing very interesting is going to happen. There will be a lot of "men bad, women good " stuff, and not in a cool or interesting way like Nausicaa or Jinrouki Winvurga.

no the problem isn't that the characters are women, there are lots of great manga where the main cast are basically all women. The problem is that the writing is womanly/girly in a dull , overly sentimental way.
