Feels weird how she still calls him "Jin-nii"... even though they are engaged.

In fantasy worlds, they don't do events to get richer or more famous. They do events to bait any cultists, conspirators, monsters and so on into invading in predictable time and location.
pretty sure you're wrong since most events in fantasy are parties for nobles to socialize and children to debut to higher society or royal ball where crowned royalty is involved, which discredits the being famous. then there's the festivals and tournaments where money and fame is involved as well.

tbh I haven't read any fantasy manga where the hosts are prepared rather than being attacked since most of the time the villains attack during festival/tournament since royalty is present during the main fight, princesses/saintess gets kidnapped, or villains introduce themselves.

the only time an event is well prepared for an evil-doer is when the MC and their harem plans for it.

for this manga, Jin was at the wrong place, wrong time during the boat racing since it's the tenth anniversary of that event. the noble for that arc was a greedy idiot who wants to own all the businesses. the Golem Exhibition is a legit exhibition but just ended with scientific failure.

That's the official propaganda line. But in practice, it doesn't seem to be true. The number of events where something went wrong vastly outnumbers the events where there were no villain attacks.

I did say that though? you're the who implied that events planned are for entrapment.

what I'm just saying in my original comment was that every event Jin attended, crap happened. which was my last point.
