Yeah! I only found out a few years back when I accompanied my mom for a grocery run and she started eating a pack of chips I just put in the cart.

Not sure if it's allowed everywhere but I think it's fine as long as you make sure to bring the wrapper for payment after? Otherwise I can see some stores would be strict on pay first eat later

I don't know that you're allowed so much as they have no recourse to stop you.

I'm currently employed at a national chain grocer, cooking in the hot food section, and we were given very explicit instructions during onboarding that we cannot stop—or even confront—a customer even if we see them stealing. The company would rather take the shrink than the possible consequences of a confrontation; what a regular customer can eat in the store is nothing compared to what the same customer spends on groceries there, and they'd rather have the small loss than the loss of a customer altogether (or a lawsuit if things get messy).

Of course, somebody who only comes in to steal is a different story, but that's not what we're talking about here.

Now that you said it, i remember seeing someone eating a pack of oreos and i though that dude was a bad guy or something.

Right; in the years I spent working in a grocery store we'd have never stopped someone who was snacking on product while they were shopping. Our biggest concern was people who were clearly trying to conceal stuff to steal it. We still couldn't confront them until they tried to go past the registers, but it would certainly get people tailing you.

We'd still consider you to be rude as hell for eating stuff you hadn't paid for unless you were a regular though.

Dude's very serious about life.
He's probably just so used to yelling at his juniors making mistakes or being angry at his boss and he carries the attitude outside.
He seems like a responsible guy in general though.

Chihuahua attitude even when giving advice or being accommodating.
Also looking for idol music lol, the guy isn't so bad, at least he isn't stuck up with his music taste.

some places might be ok with it but i wouldn't risk opening a snack versus drink tho hopefully it wouldn't have too much ppl getting drunk tho generally even tho places sell alcohol it's always like "don't drink on the premises" Tho there are some stores that have 'hot made' food and stuff like a cup of popcorn chicken but i imagine in korea it's similar to the JP konbini with like 'oden' and the cashier having to serve the cup for you

LOL maybe he's overpaying as a 'tip' or so tho i wonder if he'll ever learn mc is tech an other worlder, tho even if he was native to their world, i imagine you wouldn't be familiar with every single item as opposed to just recommending what other ppl buy if not the most 'expensive' ones of the bunch even if you don't get a commission from it , tho would be interesting if he was acquainted with MC's boss eventually

I'm so invested in dragon girl now; can't wait to see what happens when mom (who is probably the CEO of that company) finds out about this stranger adult guy who has been "helping" her precious daughter. Betting he'll be dragged in front of her by guys in black suits
