well this is a toon with a ton of tropes in it.
We already have the vetern heroes walking around doing various stuff outside of heroing.
We got smut tropes preverted into PG13 tropes. We even got references to various other works by writers from all over the world.
Honestly wouldn't be suprised that the Academy isn't a series of Towers linked together to form a school.

Considering he can go back and forth it makes sense “gates” exist, idk if adventurers exist to explore towers vs everyone having a “normal” job with magic everywhere if not “be a group of friends hunting as young teens” to “get it out of their system” before entering adult society or so, depending on how much money You can make in materials but even the succubus lady has an office like Job even if she’s researching love potions it’s more like a “clinical lab” trial versus like some old alchemist experimenting
