Jeez, girl, you don't have to sell yourself short. Most native English speakers would have difficulty with the technical language in research papers. If you can parse a paper in English and then accurately translate it to Japanese, you read English better than a sizable chunk of people I know; that takes more effort than just what you'd pick up from a relative speaking the language.
She's at least Pre-1 Eiken. It's pretty common for high school kids to take the test, and if she's looking to go straight into work, it'd be a useful qualification to have.
