i think it's fairly obvious asuka gonna blame herself for either not noticing the shit or being in denial.

which somewhat reminds me of a certain part of Overlord LN. you know, the happy-go-lucky farm of certain tailed cool looking gentleman and how Ainz is in vehement denial on the nature of said farm. sadly that's not explored yet as of latest volume.

No, Auska's not so dumb. She loves and trusts Kurimi as her best friend, and believes the best of her, because she's seen it. To have Kurimi reveal her dark side, shocks Asuka, because she wants to believe that Kurimi is better, stronger and more noble than that.

And let's face it, isn't that what we all do for people we love and trust? To believe that they are the best people they can be?

Unless disproven, from what we know Kurumi got the best deal ever when she became War Nurse and got a job as a torturer/interrogator. It's not that surprising that a weak-willed victim of severe bullying would eventually snap and then have the time of her life when given the means to vent; the difference is that she's not indiscriminate (for now).

Kurumi is basically the designated good-guy version of Abbie. The only difference is that Abigail's lack of restraint means she gets to fuck the girl she likes.

We already know it can't have gone that badly because the confrontation with Asuka was 3 hours before Kurumi talks to Tamara.
