I want to say that bit is at least in part her wanting to get his attention onto her and also wanting him to spoil her a bit.

At least at the current time, Emma is super fond of Akihito like a brother or even a father figure of sorts. Charlotte also becoming more fond of Akihito. Wouldn't be surprised if the two start spending more time at Akihito's place.
