Narnia's head really is in Narnia, huh.
I mean, bro decided to pick on the guy backed by like 4 of the 13 Crowns + Sullivan.
It seems he's gone power mad.

Wait, by stopping the test, didn't they just interfere with Mephisto's authority and Sullivan's grandchild?
Seems like a hugely stupid move, Iruma is actually important and you're overstepping way too many boundaries just to sabbotage him.

I love this series but i wish the author dont machina it. I mean, remember we got cockblocked by phone twice?

Its okay for Iruma tobe a squeaky clean MC, i dont have problem with that. But, he doesnt need an impossible coincidence to squiggle his way out of conflict everytime, doesnt he?

pretty good chapter, glad that Henri was ready to support his future son in law.

now to wonder how this will unfold:
  • do we get wicked Iruma to curbstomp and go f*ck the police while also making mephisto cream for the leadership rizz of wicked Iruma.
  • will mephisto interject and put his foot on the soldiers as we already know Mephisto would be pretty high in strong sense between the 13 crowns (he just hid himself but he was pretty much the Sullivan to the demon lord before Delkira)
  • will we get grandpa or any other strong supporter of iruma to stop the soldier (bachiko or amaryllis)
  • will henri appear on time or kalego could appear to suppor Iruma as a guardian of the school and his rules, the scala and iruma are pretty much part of kalego's guardian duty.
  • maybe a six finger would appear and unexpectedly help iruma as they want more chaos and it would help to make iruma an enemy of the demon patrol (pretty much a false flag event)
  • aaaand for me, I would love if Iruma could throw his rank on the guys if he can on this guy, but he's too much of a good guy to do it.
author really cooking to make it clear that the OG work is that great, and that he can make 2 or more good series at the same time
My guess is the “secret” demon lord thing will invoke some kind of protection thing, or “this is already the domain of the Asmodeus family.”

Interesting thing that Ali has not drained someone’s mana since he was aleph…
but we know that ring can unleash a Sully (et all) level blast, so that’s an option.

It will be a hell (see what I did there?) of an event no matter which of the 9 above happens.

Oh, and with the niceness? Maybe Ali gets fed up and sends him wicked phase. Doubt it, big time. That’s a neat idea.

Edit: pulling rank isn’t that hard. He’d just need to take back his title of “king” for a minute.

My worry is that not only this leads to Iruma failing as the test was specifically made for the many ears to be independent, -so they should be able to stand up for themselves no external support per se- but also it ends up Iruma realising how powerless he is to help the many ears as in they need to lose their independence for Iruma to gain the motivation to persue the title demon lord and start working to get stronger to stand up against bad demons and otherwise adveries like the other candidates and that guy who wants to eat Iruma.

But it would mean a very unfortunate knocking of Iruma and our winds with such reality check.

So I hope I am wrong!

Okay, so, we just did this plot. So, maybe don't? I know it's too late, but meh. crap arc if it keeps going.

I don't think they would need the military capability to defend themselves per se. Rather, they just need enough militia to hold down the fort until America Amuryllis, Mephisto et al can supply the necessary violence. Nations are allowed to have defense pacts after all.

I think it is important for the many-eared to make their own conscious decision to oppose Amy, and therefore seek aid from their allies. If they passively wait for the nobles to sort it out, Iruma fails. Gramps will try to stop the carrot farming. For the continued peace of the village. When he is pressured to let it continue, that pressure has to come from Nova and the other children, not Iruma.

He isn't stopping the test, he is the test, wittingly or not. They should be thanking him. Wouldn't be much of a test otherwise. Mephisto knew there would be pushback from the other nobles while coming up with it.

With this, they're picking a fight with three of the thirteen crowns: Mephisto, Sullivan, and Asmodeus. I know we need Iruma/the many ears to solve this problem, but if this guy is so high and mighty about strength, I would love to see those three demons slap the ever loving shit out of him.

What is their to say
A lot actually so I guess I'll start with:

Why would Henri be surprised?
Well they may now be on equal footing in terms of authority but they have never been sepret they work in the save field, the protection of the Netherworld. As coworkers on the same level it would be smarter to work with each other Narnia was and could still send the Fang squad anyway a consolation is not necessary asking for permission.

Does Narnia even have the power to do that?
Yes, sure he has his own domain but he is also a part of the border patrol. Border patrol is in every p they are the enforcers of the law in the netherworld Henri himself arrested Sullivan in what I assume is Grampa's own domain and Sullivan out ranks Henri. So yes Narnia technically does have the power to do what he is doing.

Wouldn't Mephisto do anything?
While he can say something agitated it I don't think he will because he could also get arrested if he takes it to far. So I don't think he will.

Will we get evil cycle Iruma?
Not really others have said it better than me so I don't have much to say on that.

Can Iruma fail the test like this?
If the test is stopped then and can't continue then it would be unfair and under cut the importance of the test if he automatically passed it do to " technical difficulties" and possible legal trouble.

Yeah it's just drama for the sake of drama, while it does overstep his "domain" he is basically stepping toes into a bunch of his college for the sake of stopping 1 thing. Also this make me question did Mephisto have paperwork to actually do this.

If he doesn't this make Mephisto full on dumb or if he does Narnia is just dumb.

Putting aside the dispute between those who want to maintain their power, and those who wants to break away from it.

Despite all of that is happening with Many-Ears clan trying to plant carrots, it's still true that their hearing trait is valuable to the underworld, and it would be a huge miss to completely switch from hearing to farming as if it's going to solve their problem of being "a slave" to the underworld. I mean, before they are a slave for their hearing. Next, they could be a slave for their farming. Who knows?

In short, I disagree if the Many-Ears clan wishes to switch out to farming just for the sake of escaping from their previous niche and supposed enslavement because of their limited path. Farming and their ability to grow delicious carrots must only be an alternative to their hearing.

I don't mean that their farming ability is less than their hearing. But, if their society ever need a second solution, they could go to farm.

There is a point of compromise here, I believe, where the underworld won't lose Many-Ears hearing skills, but Many-Ears also have a second option in their society to grow and prosper. I really think it's a possible proposition, even in real life.
