not just that, based on Azz's eyes on Page 20 and 24, it's clear that he was panicking before firing the shot, and on 24 there's a bit of regret. he definitely was thinking that Ifrit would do so much worse to Iruma if he didn't steal the shot. I think the series has that nuance that simply didn't get narrated. Show-Don't-Tell, I guess, but yeah I missed it the first time and only while re-reading now that I fully believe it.On one hand, I am so emotionally devastated (and delighted because the drama is delicious) and I'm dying to see the reactions of everybody else because I just know they're not going to forgive Azz for a long time. On the other hand, Ifrit was already about to pull the trigger. If Azz hadn't shot Iruma, Ifrit definitely would have- and wouldn't have missed his vitals- so in a way, you could also argue that Azz technically saved Iruma's life in that situation.
the panelling focusing on the gloves also emphasize this; gloves that fully tightly fit the sleeves (and don't show any skin) is Ifrit's, and those hands were what precedes the panic eyes in Page 20. I think that makes it clear that the reason Azz panicked is thinking that Iruma will die and he had to take action quickly.
