Minor quibble but the steamship shown briefly that Madam is on is anachronistic. Those kinds of ocean liners only came about in the 1890s for an example of a contemporary liner that would have been on the Calcutta (Kolkata today) - Hong Kong run search the SS Arratoon Apcar ships of the period all had sail rigs since engines alone weren't reliable enough or fast enough. Tea itself was shipped using only sail rigged ships called clippers like the Cutty Sark well into the late 1860s because they were faster than steam powered vessels and people cared about getting tea fast.
