the logic of the witch clones make no sense to me:
they use magic power to maintain the seal, so why are they trying to get a child with the strongest melee fighter?

The clones didn't have a power to maintain the seal, the witch did. So by making a clone she can efficiently make a.... Whtvr. Offsprings that have both genes, strongest men and witch.

Strongest melee fighter is still a strongest.

To my understanding, the OG witch is long dead but left genetic material to create clones for a couple thousand years. That genetic material however has either run out or become too damaged to reuse after hundres of copies. Attempting to reuse it probably results in a defective clone, likely the cause for our FMC not being able to use magic, so they need to introduce fresh DNA to the pool naturally.

Likely she does still have to genetic trait to use magic, but it's too damaged to manifest. Such dmage could be repaired through an offspring, especially if the second parent has the ability to use magic. So in short they they both become the strongest and have a kid, the magic casting trait is still there and could in theory result in a new strongest witch.

Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of protagonists and antagonists depicted as different kinds of animals, but this is the first time I’ve seen one depicted as an anglerfish. That shit is incredibly creepy and exciting as hell👏🏾

Yeah, it must be similar to when the same image gets shared over and over between different people. Eventually, it gets compressed too much, and the quality starts to degrade slowly but surely.
